Question: A friend of mine asked me to drop her off at a place where they weigh you 3 times a week,for 20dollars a visit...Why would you pay some one to tell you your fat and need to lose weight???thats crazy

some people have a hard time being brutally honest with themselves so they need someone else to do it... after the brutal honesty comes the support they need to keep them motivated and going forward.....
I don't know why anyone would do that! I know Weight Watchers charges per week, but it's not that much.
She should at least be getting some Nutrional Counseling support and exercises to do for that!
Some people do not have the willpower to do it themselves and stay on track. When they shell out their hard-earned cash, then they start paying attention. It's sad but... hey if it will make her motivated to lose weight, then it will be worth the costs.
because, people worry about their weight and weight can become a serious problem. Although they could just weigh themselves...
People know "they're fat" and the programs like your friend is in don't tell them that. They help people by monitoring people's weight loss progress and some find that helpful. These programs also provide guidence in finding a good diet & exercise plan. Whatever works for the individual is good... like having supportive friends.
