If your really dedicated and want to loose that little extra fat and gain muscle, then you cant go wrong with crunches. Do about 100 or more every night. Go as far as you can and let me advice you its going to burn. Do regular crunches, focus on your obliques and try this: pick up your legs about six inches off the ground and keep it there as long as you can. Or do the same thing but do crunches by bringing your chest and legs together. Trust me it works.

How often do you do crunches? Crunches work at the lower abdominal areas, and they're fairly easy to do once you get the hang of it.

Also, what is your diet like? Do you eat three big meals, or several small meals? Several small meals a day is better than three big meals.

How often do you eat fruits and vegetables? Those are important too.

Don't forget to drink plenty of water too. This will help.

The cardio exercising may help, but I know two things that will help. When the weather warms up, do a lot of walking. Walking, though it takes some time, will help trim your stomach and tone it somewhat.

See if you can play DDR. A friend of mine played it all the time, and she lost quite a bit of weight and felt better about herself. Or you can just dance to music you like.

The important thing is to be committed. It takes time and patience before you'll notice a difference.

Also, try to swim often this summer too. That might also help.

Good luck!
