Does taking chilli do more harm than good to your stomach?!

Question: I heard chilli aids digestion. Or will it actually wear your stomach thin? Or worse, by time, you get loose bowels. How much is too much really?

You are obviously taking about the spices in chili, like cayenne pepper, jalapeno peppers, etc. Nothing 'wears' your stomach thin and I'm not sure how you got that idea.

Spices like cayenne, habanero, etc are good for the body. Unless you have open sores or ulcers in your stomach you can eat as much as you want.

Eat lots of onions, tomatoes, cilantro, garlic (salsa) and spices! It's great for your body.

its dose good

i heard that they causes high blood pressure

No, chilli is bad for you especially if you have stomach problems (I do). Because it's so spicy, it can affect the lining of your stomach and cause heart burn, hemmroids or worse. :((

now I'm not hungry

Anything in excess isn't good for you... but Chili is beneficial to more than just your digestion system.

Oh my God- chili wearing your stomach thin. How do people believe this stuff? What is your stomach made of, cotton candy? Of course it doesn't wear your stomach thin.

Help me, people.

There are two sides to this yes chili does hurt your stomach but it depends how much you can tolerate however Chili does have it's benefits it lowers blood pressure it helps boost your immune system it opens your nasal passages temporary when you have a cold. I love chili by the way the hotter the better.
