Is this a good start/plan?!

Question: I'm obese for my height.
175lbs. and 5"0. I want to lose 50lbs over the next year, I know I can't do it all at once, but I would like to lose some weight for summer.

I eat: some fruits, and all vegetables.
I don't eat red meat, but I eat chicken and fish.
I eat cottage cheese a lot, and I like eggs.

I'm trying to give up Diet pop, so I have one tiny glass daily and the rest of the day I have tons of Distilled water....Tons.

I also am doing the workout Turbo Jam. I walk sometimes too.

Is this a good plan?

cut out all soda, you don't have to have it, i don't know what turbo jam is anything that gets you to break a sweat is good. Also run it sounds like you have a good diet. If you stick to this it won't take a year to lose 50 lbs you can lose 50 pounds in 6-7 months if you are focused. Be patient it will come off, good luck

Its a very good start. Its not so much that pop will make you gain weight, but that if you already eat too many calories (more than you burn) then it will.

Try to get your diet right and write down all the things you eat and their respective calories. Go to www.fitday.com and calculate it there. If you're eating more cals than you need, then lower it somewhere.

To figure out how many cals you should be consuming, search yahoo for bmr or basal metabolic rate.

But to answer your question, yes its a good plan!!

well i think ur eating habits are good but i dont belive that this turbo jam is gonna help u id start walking with ur pets or friends at the park

that souns like a great plan, but give up the pop all together. i dont drink it all and have no craving for it, ever. i wish i could stick to a plan like yours!! stay with it, i hope it works for you!!!!!!!!

I like it. I like it a lot.

just remember to eat recommended portion sizes ( 3 oz meat, 1 egg, etc). i worry when you say you eat cottage cheese a lot. one serving per day is good, and add in some whole grains like whole grain bread or cereal to make your diet more balanced.

healthy, balanced diet and exercise. GREAT plan !
