Im this way too. But because of fibro. When spring comes you will fill better, i hope. Fibromyalgia is 24/7 pain so i know some of your issues and lyin on the couch constantly , then tryin to even just get out to get groceries IS A REAL TASK that i despise!!!
Christmas was a drag. haha

Im sure what you are seein in the mirror is NOT what others see, because right now you are really down on YOU....Try some new makeup...a new shampoo!! a new part to your hair even! Add a belt to your jeans and top

Does wonders for your spirit!!!
THEN go to the mailbox....and every day you will be able to walk just a bit further
then further
and then further

Best wishes, Sweetz!

How about a exercise bike.

Be gentle with yourself. Difficult surgeries are no joke and you can get yourself back into shape, I promise. Have you consulted a personal trainer? Even one or two sessions might be helpful so that you can get back on track in a safe way that meets your current needs. Also, make sure you're cleared for exercise by your doctor. I am certain it's frustrating but please don't give yourself messages like 'overfed hog', it really doesn't help:) I wish you health and happiness!

do light impact excercises, lift very light wts and slowly build them up to re condition your muscles. try some light yoga that can help increase flexability

Youve taken the first step by deciding that its time for change and you seem determined to get things sorted. Thats a pat on the back to start with. YOu need to start slowly, be patient with yourself and understand that you will have good and bad days. Its woth telling your doctor what you want to do and get some extra advice and support from them too. You can begin by doing basic, gentle excersises while you sit or stand with support, put some music on and move your legs and arms in time, try some gentle stretches. Gradually build up with a few steps but stop if it hurts and you could walk around with tins of beans or bottles of water as weights. Drink plenty of fluids and try going a little further each time. There a re plenty of dvds out there to help also. Good luck and dont be too hard on yourself, once you start youll see a difference within a few weeks. x

wow...that is something...but you know, give it time...you had your surgery right...have you asked your doctor if you can really do exercises? or has he had any recommendations?

if you can...then it'll take time but it's never impossible to get back in shape...if you were active before, your body should bounce back, if you feel pain, tired or can't even do your daily activities such as shopping, i think there's some kind of problem there...you better seek some advice form your physician..hope you feel and get better
