Does water make you gain weight?!

Question: Hi Suga,
The experts say that you need at least 2 litres of water per day in order to lose weight. This is simply needed to flush away the toxins that are produced when your body burns fat as energy. So drinking water helps you lose weight !

True Defintion Of DUMB A**.

yes you can gain water weight...but u can lose water weight easiley

not really

no quite the opposite if u drink a lot of water (dont overdo it obviously or you could die) u will lose weight because your body stores water if u do not drink enough to protect u the more u drink the less water your body will store the less u will weigh

Not at all.

As a matter of fact, when you drink VERY cold water it acts as a fat burner because your body needs to work harder to warm the water in your system.

cold water makes u burn calories because it takes energy to make your body warm

Hey there,

Water contains zero calories. So do vitamins and minerals. The only nutrients that contain calories are carbohydrates, proteins, and fats (and alcohol).

You gain weight when you take in more calories than you burn.

Just as an example, if you drink a pound of water, you may be heavier at that moment, but your body is not storing fat from it. The water will leave your system in due time.

All the best,

the answer is yes AND no.
if you were to weigh yourself then drink a litre of water, then weigh yourself again you would be .4 of a pound or so heavier. But when you pee, you're letting the water the exit your system. then you jump back on the scale and you will be around .6 lighter than you were before.

Thats why alot of people who diet, drink a whole lot of water before they go to bed and in the the pee builds up in them and when they pee, they are lighter than they were the night before.

so basically, you are only "gaining" weight untill you pee. and the weight isnt anything serious.
