Exercise question ( running )?!

Question: Running questions?
i run 2 miles, maybe a little more, on a treadmill every day. however i dont feel sore in my thighs and butt area. is running going to target those areas? how do i better target them?

ive tried squats to strengthen my butt muscles more, but when doing a squat, i can only feel it in the back of my thigh, and not on my butt at all. whats the proper way to do a squat, one that will target my thighs and butt more?

If your run regularly no matter how far, your thighs won't be sore for sure. The fact that it doesn't get sore is also a good indication that your thighs are in good shape(considering the fact that you regularly squat as well). Running is good for the overall body and does not target specific areas. However, it is the best way to maintain flat and good abdomen.
NOW...to answer your main question -- In most good gyms, there is a machine that works for the hips and thighs...Something that you sit in a regular position and draw your legs closer. The machine locks. Open your legs as wide as possible(pushing against the resistance) and draw it closer...Continue the same and do 3-4 rounds, 2-3 days in a week. (not sure what exactly this is called), This sure is a butt buster !!! Should feel great

your body will burn fat at different rate . It just depends on your metabolism . Maybe you should increase yore run to 4miles and add some resistance when you run(dumb bells or leg weights). Keep doing your squats. Don't give up.
