When you take a day off from exercising..?!

Question: Are you supposed to eat the same amount of calories as on a day where you exercise? I run for about 30 minutes and do toning exercises 6 days a week, and i've been told to eat around 1800 calories. So if today's my day off do i lower the amount of calories i eat? Thanks :)

it depends on where you stand in your diet. lets say you're 150 lbs and you start off at 2000 calories... within the first couple of weeks, you shouldn't change the number of calories even if you're off training... the next step if you plateau is to decrease your calories on non exercising days by 300-500 calories... whenever you plateau after that, you decrease calories on workout days so that they match your non workout days... and so on and so forth

i hope that makes sense.

My diet has been in the tank for a while but back when I was good, I found that I actually did a bit better when I ate an extra 300 calories or so on days when I worked out.

No. Your body will crash.... get weak. Your day off is your day for rebuilding your muscles and "repairing".
I wouldnt change anything. Just keep making good food choices. Lots of protein and water...

no! eat the same
