Ok cat lover.....lets get to the nitty-gritty----

You didn't say how old you are. You didn't say how tall you are. You didn't say how much you weighed. You didn't say who "everyone" is that they should know you are "skinny". You didn't say if your mom, dad, brothers or sisters are "skinny".

See what you didn't say?

Check this website:

http://www.healthchecksystems.com/height...

It's a height/weight chart that will give you SOME idea of what you need to be weighing. If you are still a kid (a kid is anybody under 16-17 years old, you will either be skinny yet or have baby fat left on your bones. It's just the way it is.

By the time you finish puberty (18-21) you will begin the mature body of an adult......guys are still a bit skinny yet until they are in their late 20s IF they work out. Otherwise they will get a beer belly and flabby stuff.

But, back to your skinny self. Compare yourself to the chart if you are old enough. If you haven't quit growing yet, it's hard to tell. You say you eat and eat, yet you didn't say what it is you eat and how much of it. You can eat and eat all the veggies in the world and never gain a pound!!

You need to be eating at least 2000 calories/day. Know how to count calories? NO? Just turn whatever you are eating over and read the label. It will tell you what a serving size is and how many calories a serving size has.

Keep track of everything you put into your mouth every day by writing it down for a week. See what you eat daily. If it is not at least 2000 calories, you have to eat more highly caloric foods.

Hold the fats, though. You don't need fats. Fats/oils go to fat on the body. You want to increase your muscle too. So work out. Build muscle (if your testosterone has kicked in....usually around 16 years old) All this, if you are a guy.

If you are a girl, and under 15, you will mature as well only sooner than a guy, and fill out some. But the above still goes for you too regarding calories.

If you have a high metabolism, you will burn calories faster than the average person. Most of us would envy you.

Keep in mind your body needs fuel to run (live). Every square inch is filled with hundreds of cells that burn carbohydrates for fuel. If you are active or your metabolism is high, you are burning more and are needing more fuel than you are taking in, so your body has pulled all the fat it can from your body and turned it into fuel, and it will then pull muscle from your body and burn it if it doesn't get enough carbs ingested.

So......continue to eat more carbohydrates, but keep track so you know exactly what you are eating. Buy cans of supplements like Ensure, Instant Breakfast, etc, Look at the labels and chose the ones that have the highest calories and drink them between meals as well.

Just watch out that you don't start gaining a lot of fat. Weigh yourself weekly....in the morning, naked. Same day each week. If you start gaining fat, begin to exercise and increase those muscles!!!!

Good luck...
I am an RN

be skinny while you can

Try eating smaller meals more frequently throughout the day..You could also add a can of Ensure 3 times a day--this drink is nutritionally complete & is used to supplement in elderly & eating disorder patients to maintain or increase weight.

u can gain more weight by building more muscle. Muscle weighs a lot more than fat. and if u want to eat atleast 2000 calories a day and exercise. it may sound like a diet but since ur so skinny itll build muscle and gain weight in a healthy way

eat fast food, or eat faty foods
