How much do you weigh? Figure 16 weeks to summer so that's 1-1/4lbs per wk. average. You typically loose the most the first week. alittle less the next week and you can maintain even less for the next 4 weeks. That brings you to week 7 which is the week for some unknown reason, no matter what you do you will gain a lb or two back. don't dispair. add an exercise or drink more water & eat more veggies. by week 8 you will be loosing less than a lb /week. You'll really need to do more than just exercise by week 8 if you want the second half of this challenge to be benficial. I suggest Weight watchers, or a calorie diet based on your weight, height and health condition. As for Me... I weigh 178. In the next 16 weeks I will diet for the first 5 weeks and before I hit that 7th week i will begin a walking routine starting with 1 mile/day and working up to 3 mi. /day. I project that I will loose 4 lbs the first week, 2.5 the 2nd, 2.0 the next 4wks, put back 2lbs the 7th week week 8 &9&10 1.5 lb week 11 I'll put on 1.5 Weeks 12- 16 I'll average 3/4 lb
I will loose 10% of my present weight.

have a excersie plan, like jog or run everyday for an 1 hour in the morning and then late in the evening, and watch what you eat, have a kg bar in the morning, and for lunch eat like a salda and then for dinner you should eat a healthy dinner,

run on treadmill for 20 minutes every nite [[on speed 3 or 2]]
eat like the food pyramid
thats what i do..
but my theory is if you sit in a room for 30 minutes with good food in front of you with out eating it and stare at it..you wont be addicted to food...i think..

Just make a schedule for yourself and stick to that schedule...offer yourself rewards like being able to watch your favorite show or something after you work out. I also find it helps to have a special playlist of your favorite songs that you can only listen to while working out. It also really helps if you write down everything you eat in a journal so you can see what actually goes into your body every day (just don't cheat to make it look better =P). It depends. 20 pounds by what month? How tall are you and how much do you weigh right now? Some people, when they don't have a lot to lose, lose very slowly. While heavier people who have a lot to lose could easily lose 50 by summer. What do you mean by scam diets? There are several diets out there that you can try that do work and are not scams... Not just low calorie/low fat diets, its all about what works for you.

In a nutshell, if you're only exercising and not dieting, you probably are not going to be able to lose very much at all. A while ago, I had a lot of weight to lose and decided to just exercise. After a month I hadn't lost any weight, just maintained.

if you want to lose 20 pounds do it by eating healthy and plenty of exercise. you have to be dedicated to it

In the morning do a short 5min jog , make sure you always eat breakfast , lower you calories in your diet, sit ups, push ups , but its always better if you have a friend to do the activities with you.

im no personal trainer or nutritionist but
i DO however know how to get my butt
into shape when i need to (aka usually summer)..

1st u need to eat right.
(lots of oatmeal helps)
just cut out sat fat. trans fat.
and eat more organic foods
theres this book called "the abs diet"
it actually helps A LOT
so u know whats no good
and whats surprisingly okay.

dont eat to fill yourself up
eat small quantites every 2 hours
so u build up your metabolism
drinks LOTS of water & when i
get tired of plain water i sometimes
drink a propel bc its flavored

and do some slower workouts
for 15 mins and then do some
cardio for another 15.
but if working out is something
ur just jumping into ...take it easy.
take a break every other day
or your likely to hurt something.
dont learn the hard way like me
it just slowed me down when i
was trying to get a head start
for summer.

watch what you eat, find somewhere to walk like the mall, drink alot of water!
