Need help with trying to come up with some menus that consists of 1600 calories !
Question: I am starting a new way of eating, and will be walking 1-2 miles a day, and no eating after 7 pm, I just need help with 1600 calorie menus! Should I walk my evening 1 mile b4 I eat or after? I like yogurt for breakfast and basically chicken and veggies for lunch and dinner, but this is not adding up to 1600 calories a day! Thanks for your help

here are some meal ideas for you...
each meal has 400 calories, so you can eat 4 meals per day and stay full all the time:
Meal #1
2 whole eggs, 2 egg whites, cooked in 1 teaspoon olive oil, 1 slice of fat free cheese in 2 slices whole wheat bread, 1 apple
Meal #2
150 grams of chicken breasts, 3/4 cup rice (measured after cooking), 1 tbsp olive oil
Meal #3
150 grams 95% lean beef cooked on foreman grill, 2 slices whole wheat bread, 1 slice low fat cheese, 1 tbsp low fat mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, onions (make a burger), 1 glass fresh juice
Meal 4
150 grams of salmon cooked in oven, 1 teaspoon olive oil, 1 small potatoe
hope that helps
4 six inch turkey subs with cheese, no mayo.
It is best to eat within 1 hour of exercising and it is best to exercise on an empty stomach, so I'd eat your meal within 1 hour after your exercise. You can get your calories from Complex carbs in the form of wholegrain breads and cereals, potatoes, pastas and brown rice. You need these complex carbs for sustained energy and your evening meal should consist of Carbs, Proteins and Good fats.
There is a site called CalorieKing but I don't think it's free.
