Short bursts of resistance training can help you lose weight and wouldn't be as hard on your knees as a sustained intense cardio type workout. Also you of course need to eat the right foods and avoid all the common problems. Check out this blog, you might find it interesting
Use an elliptical, gazelle or exercise bike if it doesnt bother your knees. Also, do yoga or pilates- the poses actually can burn lots of cals as they get more advanced :)
HAVE LOTS AND LOTS OF SEX.. but use a condom of course.. that's my suggestion
