Beta-Carotene?!

Question: I understand that beta-carotene comes from vegetables but do they extract it from animals as well?

Answers: I understand that beta-carotene comes from vegetables but do they extract it from animals as well?

Not that I've ever been made aware of. There would be no need since it is found in so many types of plant sources like carrots, yams, and dark green leaf veggies. In fact, I'm not sure it would be possible since beta carotene is converted to Vitamin A in the body. This one is okay for even the most discriminating of dieters.

No.
Here's a link to everything you ever wanted to know about beta carotene (including the plants that have it in its highest amounts.)
sweet potatoes
carrots
kale
spinach
turnip greens
winter squash
collard greens
cilantro
fresh thyme
