How much weight would be lost on this diet?!


Question: My friend wants to lose some weight fast about 30 pounds in 1-2 months, she said if she did a fruit fast would she lose a lot of weight meaning she ate about 3-4 pieces of fruit a day and 2-4 liters of water a day and thats all no meals of anything else how much weight would she lose?

i know someone who went on that diet. he said he lost about 40 pounds in 2 months eating nothing but fruit during that time. your friend should probally eat more then 3 or 4 pieces a day though, thats not enough to get by on.

there are far too many variable to determine how much weight she would lose. but on that kind of diet which lacks in just about all nutrients the majority of the weight lost in the scale will be water and muscle. any diet based on one food item or food group will not promote fat loss

If that's all she had, a very unhealthy amount. The exact amount would probably vary depending on the person.

no one shuld lose that amount of weight that fast!she needs to cut back on crap first, and then slowly start to drop her carbohydrates while doing regular exersice. and btw, tell her fruit is very high in suger so if shes relly seriouse...she would cut bak on that 2. sam

jan. 1st of this year i started , i cant prove it to you, but, ive lost 34lbs in a little over 2 months.... iwas at 267 and now im at 233.. i just dont eat everything now.. im a portion man, but i get on treadmill 3-5 times a week for 2 miles. i started just walking,cause i couldnt run... now im running the whole 20 min. at a 6mph pace... im just now starting to lift weights.. anyway.. just eating fruit will not satisfy you and youll feel guilty about eating , so just eat moderate portions and run.. it did it for me

She would lose a lot of weight and its not healthy to just eat fruit and water all day. She should also exercise and just eat healthy and sometimes eat some sweets like ice cream. she should lose weight the healthy way because if she doesn't u could lose ur friend.

That is not the most great way to loose weight
If you want to loose weight you got to do it by eating right and exercising everyday. Make up a weekly menu, say on Monday she will have some veggies with salmon, next day a salad with fruits and seafood for dinner and a fruit salad for dessert with some low fat whip cream, then the next with a wheat bread sandwich with fresh ingredients inside paired with a fruit salad or a banana, also you can squeeze some fruits that have allot of acid in them because acid melts fat, while eating this for 2 months and exercising at least everyday or if not everyday once in every two days she will loose fat, then when she comes to a point where she is where she wants to be then try to maintain that level where you are by eating things that are not fattening and exercising. She would loose allot of weight if she eats only fruits and drinks water all day but she wont be very healthy either.

sounds to me like a diet like that will plateau quickly, tell her to do light muscle building exersice(crunches, easy pushups), and with good cardio, 30 pounds in two months shouldnt be difficult. Eat lean foods.
