Why do so many people pretend that they want help becoming fit...?!

Question: when in reality all they really want is someone to hold their hand and tell them that it's ok to weigh 400 pounds and sit on your fat butt while using a shovel to chow down fast food?

Seriously, so many people here ask for help and then get upset when someone tells them that they're actually going to have to work out and *GASP* stop eating cake, candies, and cookies. If I see one more moron tell a grossly obese person that it's ok to eat some chocolate or cookies everyday I'm going to vomit.

My question is WHY BOTHER? If you don't want help, then why do you ask those of us who do know how to take care of ourselves to WASTE OUR TIME by answering your question when you don't want help, you just want someone to give you some excuses to justify your disgusting lifestyle?

I have no clue why people pretend they want help losing weight. I do not need help losing weight. I am doing just fine on my own. I joined the gym, I use my membership. I am a member of Calorieking, which is more in focus with healthy lifestyle changes than dieting. I have lost 25 lbs in the past 2 months, and it will stay off and I will continue to lose. I am getting fit. My clothes fit better. My mood is better. Why NOT lose weight???

What bothers me on here are the teenagers that go on some weird diets thinking they will lose weight. I just read one that is just going to eat three bowls of honey nut cheerios dry a day and drink water. Another one 4 ham sandwiches a day. WTH??? And the ones that say " I am 5'3" and 110 lbs. I am fat. " WHAT? There are some weird people out there, and nutritionally challenged ones too.

good point i look over those questions because i know that if they wanted help they would get off there butt get away from the computer and do something about it

I completely agree.
I've seen a lot of people on here that practically have a heart attack when they get answers like "you're going to have to exercise and eat healthy!"
It's disgusting. Especially for those people that actually do use the advice. Those are the people that should be allowed to ask those questions.

uhm, is this a rhetorical question?
you can step off your soapbox now.

OMG!!! Who are you to judge which people really want or need help? No one dragged your sorry butt in here to waste your precious time! If you don't want to answer the questions then WHY DO YOU BOTHER coming in here and then have the cheek to sermonize about it and put people down? In all probability you haven't a clue as to what factors into obesity. You are certainly clueless when it comes to the human condition. I hope you get well soon.

i am what u call a "grossly obease" person. i ask these questions because i truly want to know how to live a better lifestyle. Do u think i enjoy being fat, i look at myself and i am disgusted. I dont want u to justify my "disgusting lifesyle"i want help!
