The USA has the best most advanced medical technology in the world. If you have a disease or whatever condition, this is the place you need to come to get it fixed. You just better be ready to pay for it. I'd rate the quality of our health system as a 10.
However as far as accessibility - then 1. In order to benefit from the medical goods you either have to be rich or have extensive insurance.

There is nothing wrong with the system. The system gets a 10, but the members of that system get 1 because they are getting dumber and dumber trying to fix something that's not broken. The dumbest thing the medical community did was to make pharmacuticals.

Healthcare is a bu$iness and is run more and more by the pharmaceutical companies. Pharmaceutical companies make money by treating diseases, not by curing them.

Americans think preventative health care is taking an antibiotic every time you cough, and advertising pushes drugs and french fries.
Western medicine is has a "heroic" culture, and forgets all the day to day care. (imagine if you only cleaned the house and washed the dishes when your house is on fire)
If I fall off the roof of a 10 story building - take me to the ER.
We get a 6/10 (10 high), and headed in the wrong direction (unless you own stock in the pharmaceutical companies).
