I am very over weight and was just wondering what diet program is then best..?!

You are 20, so there is still time for you to adapt to a new life style. A diet isnt going to work , a diet is temporary. It sounds like you are ready to make a change. You will feel better and live longer. I would join a gym like Curves. It is for women. You dont need the hassle of a regular gym, youll get a lot more results being around just women. It will be more supportive. And maybe just adapt the Jared way of eating at subway until you can get a meeting with a nutritionist at a gym. A good start is to get rid of ALL your junk food:soda, candy, chips, fried food, etc. You know what is bad for you. I also agree with the other poster who said to see a councelor. You probably eat out of emotion rather than hunger. Lots of people do. you arent the only one. The same nerve endings in our brains that tell us we are sad or afraid or insecure are also in our stomaches , but in our stomachs, we feel hunger.And when we eat, endorphines are released telling us we feel better. That is why a lot of people feel satisfied when they eat after feeling a bad emotion. We are quieting those emotions. But endorphines are also released when we excersize. It is just hard to excersize when you are over wieght and that stops a lot of people from starting. Thats okay. Just start with one day. 30 minutes of walking aday. a goodfood plan is lots of protien~broiled skinless chicken with salsa 2 big whitemeat peices, a huge salad with fatfree blue cheese , cut up apple and crispy turkey fat free bacon, oatmeal with a chopped up banana and cranberries with a teaspoon of jam example are things you can eat every day. Always eat breakfast!! dont skip it, that tells your body you are starving late in the day when you eat,you may over do it. Also, eat every 2 hours. look up the glycemic index of foods that you can eat, that will keep you satisfied, and not hungry. You can do it!! The fact that you asked, is GREAT! You should be proud of yourself. We all have to eat, its just what we eat. oh and drink lots of water, just get rid of all the sugary drinks now. from this point on, just drink water. when you are losing wieght, it actually helpswash away the fat from your system.If you want any more help, just ask. Weight watchers. They are worth every penny.

Absolutely the best one is weight watchers. With this plan each piece of food you eat has a point and you are given so many points per day depending on your height, age and weight. You will need to change and start eating healthily and with this plan you at least change and learn how to keep weight off for the rest of your life.

The Jenny Craig type of plans who deliver meals to your door are heavily expensive and you're not learning anything about changing you actual eating habits with those.

Weight watchers have the best long term strategy.

Your going to hate my answer but no diet is going to keep the weight off. Maybe you might lose weight fast...but it won't stay that way and your body won't like it. Invest in some healthy foods. Fruit and vegetables are a great way to lose lots of weight. Whole grain foods will help you stay full longer. Try cutting 100 calories out of your diet per day for starters. It takes several calories to be obese and to maintain that weight you need to meet those calorie needs. If you sacrifice just 100 calories a day, maybe exercise for 20 minutes 5 times a week and eat healthy, you will drop pounds like nothing. Remember its healthy to lose only 1-2 pounds a week and anything above that is extremely unhealthy and might actually make you more obese. This is the most simplistic diet out there and will benefit you the most. Also, I know from being obese, counselors are a great way to go. They help you feel wonderful about yourself when your at your worst and will help overcome the urges of eating unhealthy.
