I am 12, and i weigh around 120. i want to lose weight. how?!


Question: I want to lose weight in a healthy manner. i lost 15 lbs last year, but gained back 10 over the summer. I have a year and half to lose the weight, because i'm moving and i want to be in shape by then. Please do not lecture me on how im young and shouldn't worry about it. thanks for the concern, but i am my own person and i have the drive to achieve anything, and i have a weight loss goal of 20-30 pounds. please help me become a happier, healthier me...thank you! :) (i have gym 2wice a week, and i workout like 4-5 days a week (jogging in place for 10 minutes and then 8lb weights for half and hour)

Take up a sport with a friend; go to the park and play tennis, badminton, volleyball, soccer, or basketball. Get a jump rope and try jumping steadily for 10-15 minutes every day (you can experiment with different jumping styles, too). Do sit ups/crunches and push ups, and increase the amount every week. Turn up the radio in your room and dance. Clean the house (wash dishes, vacuum, wash mirrors and sinks and counters) and do yard work (mow the lawn, rake leaves, etc.) or offer to wash people's cars. If you have a dog, take it out to jog with you, or if you have a friend with a dog, go with them. Good luck!

Edit: I almost forgot -- eat a healthy diet! Avoid junk/processed foods, and eat frequent small meals.

im 12 too and i do about 30 minutes of home work outs a day
you should do some lunges, squats, crunches, run, and stretch.
stretch first so you dont cramp up
after that lay on your stomach and lift up your legs about 100 times
switch sides and do it
do about 50 lunges on each leg
and diet
cut an apple into 6 pieces and eat 1 piece every two hours
that will increase your matabolism

Maybe instead of running on spot ( it does help but ) maybe try running outside!
Sit - ups are great for you stumache area, push - ups for arms are good.

I think it's not so much working out but having to balance your lifestyle. Just going to the gym is not going to help. You should also eat really well, cut down on carbohydrates [don't count them] and put in a lot of protein into your diet. Try new foods and always keep your proportions well. Don't exaggerate. All extremes are bad. Don't eat too much, or too little (same goes for the exercise).

eat negative calorie foods whenever you can ,these are foods that burn more calories than they contain, for example vegies: asparagus ,brocoli,carrot ,cauliflower,cucumber, green beans and fruits:apples ,oranges ,strawberries,pineapple ,raspberries, i hope i was of some help
