Help me! I need to lose weight fast!?!


Question: so.. i am going to Hawaii this summer. I am a 13 year old girl and i weigh around 140 pounds. I am 5'3..Am I considered really fat?.. if i stick with my dieting and exercizing how much can I lose in 4 months?

First, start with an accessible goal. When you accomplish that, you will feel wonderful about yourself and can then set the goal a little higher. If you start with a goal that is too high, and you do not reach it by your designated date, then you could risk feeling depressed and unaccomplished. Next, eat healthy foods, and a variety of them to boot. Stay away from foods high in saturated fats.

Exercise, but don't overdo it! Make sure to eat plenty of protein, because your body will use that as energy before it uses the fat. It gets the protein from your muscles, so in order to replace what is used then make sure to eat an adequate amount, be it from meat or vegetable proteins.

Calculate your BMI (this will tell you your weight to height ratio and answer your "am I really fat" question) and make sure you don't lose too much weight in order to "look pretty." Being overly skinny isn't any more attractive than being slightly overweight.

You are not fat. Not at all. If I were you I wouldn't lose more than five pounds. You are still growing and you need to make sure you are eating properly. At your age just cutting out some junk food would probably do the trick. Stay away from diet pills, they could take a toll on your health.

I would say that if you ate more fruits and vegetables and got a little bit more active you could lose some weight. I do not consider you to be fat but perhaps a little bit overweight. 10 pounds should be all that you would need to lose in order to look good.
