Does going up and down the stairs all day build muscle?!


Question: i dont mean literally all day.. but my bathroom is upstairs. . so i go counting up and down as one.. about 12 times a day, do you think its doing anything for me

sure it is: building toned legs, strengthening your heart...now, me, i'm fat and out of shape, even though i like to dance. You could say i'm a-fred-a-stairs.

i actualy think its healthy for you its kinda of like walking ,Walking i good for your blood it doesnt build muscle but it might let you loose weight

burns calories-and if you will push off with the balls of your feet with each step it tones calves and legs

Your doing more for yourself going up and down stairs than if you were just sitting on the couch. But just going up and down here and there is not substantial for a noticable change. You have to go up and down, up and down, up and down, until you feel the burn for it to be helping you beyond a tad.

yes sure, but you could spend some time doing other exercises too just to balance upper and lower body.
