How can i stick to a diet?!

Question: heres my problem.

i always start on a new week, meaning i want to loose weight and start my whole weight loss thing. a day into my diet, i start to slip. i end up eating something im not. i also feel discouraged because i always want quick results. and i know that i shouldnt be thinking that 2 days of dieting will make my slim. ah. and when im on a diet, i try to eat as little as possible.

its funny how i know all these things, but it never seems to work. i swear i tried dieting like over 100 times, around a year now. can anyone help me with any useful tips on sticking to a diet?

Go through all the food in your house. Raid the fridge, pantry, all the cupboards. Anything unhealthy, throw it out, or if it hasn't been opened yet, or it's non-perishable, donate it to charity. Then, once it's been cleaned out, stock your fridge with a variety of healthy foods. Yogurts (low/non-fat), fruit, vegetables, lean meats (turkey, chicken, lean beef, tuna), V8 fruit and vegetable drinks, whole grain breads, eggs...basically anything that came from the Earth, or died clean and lean. Hope it helps.

arg..me too..i am 15..can't stand it! maybe we can help eachother..hehe..just email me, i need your help as much as you need mine..
also...i can't really stick to a diet because i eat what i am served for dinner..

wear a rubber band on ur wristand every time u feel like eating something bad snap it.

Eat more, so you won't get more hungry and overeat. Get rid of all food you shouldn't eat from your home.

willpower and routine. I don't believe in diet, just eat right and exercise regularly. Consult your department of health website.

One way is to have several family members and/or friends strap you into a straight-jacket and make you eat only at certain times of day and only as much as they will give you!

Also, a diet does not mean anything except a routine. Just like "religion" does not mean belief in god (it comes from the ancient Greek work "religioso" which means way of life or routine), diet also does not mean "eating only good things in proper measure"!!!! If you overeat fatty and sugary and salty foods, that is as much of a diet as in eating mostly vegetables and some fruits and filtered ice water! So, which diet are you talking about, a "bad" diet of candy bars and grissley steak and whiskey, or a "good" diet of vegetables and fruits and lean meat?

What you have probably done is to eat impulsively. There is an old saying that if you hang around fat people you will eat a lot and get fat, but if you hang around thin people who only eat when they need to, you will do the same and become slim! That is the theory, anyway. But the point is that your attitude and your custom play a huge role in your body weight. That also means that if you hang around smokers and try to quit then you probably will just continue smoking. The same applies here with food... "Here, dear, have another candy bar, it won't hurt you! In fact, join me in three dozen candy bars and then we'll go out to the cafe for three slices of pie and cheese!"

You have to be mentally ready FOR A LEGITIMATE DIET... not those fad diets that make you hungry... and, you have to have a daily plan according to your feeding schedule. You need the support of those around you... family, friends, co-workers, in order to get into the good-diet "swing of things".

As with everything, the effort you make will prove the result you will achieve.
