Yes, you absolutely can become addicted to fast food, it's really the carbs, that become addicting. what it does to your insides is as bad as smoking, drugs, or drinking. instead of once a day fast food, try packing a peanut butter on whole grain bread, a hard boiled egg, grapes, a protein bar, you don't always have to eat salad, there are many things that are good for you. If you must eat fast food, stick to grilled chicken, a small plain hamburger, dump the fries, soda, and mayo. be active, like you are, and your body, and mind will be thankful, and you'll look fab!

idk maybe get a salad or pack healthy snacks with you but you really need to try and avoid fast food.

watch that movie "Supersize Me." u will never want to eat fast food again, that movie scared the living crap out of me. (being totally serious. try it).

Yeah I think at one stage I was very addicted to fast food. I'd eat it like 7 days a week. :[ Now I eat it less. The less you eat it the more used to not having it you get.

Your not the only one, a lot of people get these cravings as the food is so good, what you can do is every time you drive by a fast food place is to imagine yourself in the future if you keep eating the fatty foods and draw your mind from the cravings.

DONT GO THERE ANYMORE. tell ur bf the situation, maybe hell understand and suggest places healthier. if u are cought @ a fast food place, eat a salad or simply say, "im not hungry." but tyr to eat healthy food that is YUMMY, sooner that u thought, ull be craving HEALTHY and YUMMY food! fry fruit leather

Just set a number of times you're allowed to visit a fast food restaurant per week and stick with it. Bring a snack or meal along with you from now on to resist the urge for fast food. Personally, I'm trying to limit my fast food intake to once a week because I am TOTALLY addicted to it. I just make sure I don't get caught in a situation where I'm starving and have no other option besides fast food. If that happens, I've educated myself on the healthy choices at all the major chains I visit along with the number of calories for each item. I know what I can get for 300 calories or below at every chain. LOL!

Of course fast food is addictive! All food is addictive the same way drugs are, they are just something the human body needs so they are not considered addictive. Just stop eating it. Some might say slowy decrease the amount you eat, but that just does not work, trust me. Cut it out of your diet completely. Once you are off it you can have it once a month, or a week depending on how easily you gain weight, but that is ALL. Good luck!

Well definitely when your going to be at home stay away from the fast food, make something yourself. Even if its a tv dinner! You said your on the go a lot so I would recommend taking Southbeach bars with you in your purse. They are very good, I think Atkins and a bunch of others make them as well. They will keep you from being hungry and hopefully you wont be tembted to eat the fast food. Hope I helped.

Start being very frugal, play like every dollar you're spending is too much and you will eventally opt. to eat at home just to save a dollar.

only eat fast food like once a week or twice if you must and choose healthy stuff like the salads! there is still healthy stuff you can fix fast look it up on google!

i have a very bad diet myself. luckily im in great shape myself. i get addicted to fast food l love it. They say if you have to eat fast food wendys is the healthiest if you want to call it that. Dont eat fries they are killers. get your burgers without all the sauce just plain with cheese. And do yourself a big favor and drink a lot of water before you go it will make you order less. You'll feel full.

In fact i had a crazy addiction the last 2 weeks to BK i love the cheese poppers and burgers....damn there good.

I would cut back slowly. Do you cook meals at home? I know it is hard to change your habits, but it is not impossible. Take it from me, you may be able to get away with it now, but it's better to change your habits before you "have" to change them.

One idea, keep a log of what you eat. Even try tracking it online so you can see exactly what you are eating (using something like sparkpeople.com, it's free).

Also, give yourself more options. Bring different foods in your house, or order a little healthier when at the drive thru.

Hope that helps!

tough one. when i'm out and i just want food in me i'll go to hungry jacks and get a whopper. even though there was a health food stall next to it, but it's expensive.
i now make sure to carry extra money with me to get a sandwhich from that health food stall.
why not pack your own healthy snacks and stick them in your bag/purse? carry a bottle of water with you too.
i still miss the taste of a cheesburger, but i want to be healthy so i'll just have to tell myself that it's no good for me.

the only way: NO FAST FOOD AT ALL! ZERO!

just start to carry snacks and stuff around with you, or pack a lunch or dinner. keep snack bars in your purse/back pack or eat an apple every once-in-a-while. make a simple pb&j. that way, you cant wait until you're home to eat.

you may crave it, but self-control is KEY in eating healthy, so do not let yourself order a meal. you could have 1 or 2 french fries from someone else's meal, but never get your own.

the healthier you eat, the more you'll notice a boost in energy, moods, and happiness.
