If I'm awake for late hours in the night can I lose weight?!

Question: I don't eat after 7pm and I go to sleep at 1 AM, wake up at 12 noon

Answers: I don't eat after 7pm and I go to sleep at 1 AM, wake up at 12 noon

I think it depends on a lot of other different factors as well. Like if you're eating healthy and exercising. But not eating after 7 will definitely help in losing weight because you're giving your body time to digest the foods you've eaten before you go to sleep.

I'm not even sure what you're reasoning behind this would be?

You burn a lot of calories when you sleep, but it's actually not healthy for you to sleep that much (11-12 hours a day).

Why don't you try waking up early and doing something productive, like working out, if you're so interested in losing weight?

it doesn't matter when u eat. just what and how much. u could eat 1/2 ur food at midnight and still lose weight (although it's better to get a good breakfast instead) going 17 hours w/o food isn't good though. try to not eat 2 hrs before bed and then have a meal w/in 1 hr of rising and u'll feel more satisfied.

Its good that you don't eat after 7...but its not good to go to sleep that late and wake up so late. Its not normal for people to sleep that long...a typical night sleep should consist of 8 hours. If you're sleeping more than that, something might be wrong. Have you checked your thyoid--you might have hypothyroidism? You can check that by going to your md, and taking a blood test. Basically people who have have hypothyroidism are overweight, and are always tired, resulting in sleeping way over 8 hours. Now, if you are are awake for too many hours, you'll end up eating more because you'll be more hungry. Also I highly recommend going to the gym and swimming...and/or aqua-aerobics. It's fun, relaxing and a great weight burner. Another thing you should do is cut down on carbs & sugar, you'll practically be melting.

Good luck

No you wont lose weight doing that....if it were that simple there would be beds at gyms.

You need 8 hours of sleep to be healthy, it doesn't matter if you do it late or early at night.
