Is toast healthy, or unhealthy?!
Question: I like a slice or two first thing in the morning and I usually use Gold Light, I know it's a little silly but I'd be quite grateful if you could help me out. Cheers again folks.

Toast is just burnt bread so you have the same calories that is in bread itself. It has been proved that there is no more goodness in brown as there is in white bread so that is not an issue. The margarine that you use is more likely to be the offender of higher calories. According to a survey about a year ago, it was proved that the lighter varieties can actually contain more fat so this is what you have to be careful of. There are good and bad fats, Omega 3 is the good fats that actually reduce the cholesterol in your blood so a margarine with Omega 3 is the best option for being healthy.
The nutritional values on the packaging will still apply to the toasted bread.
I think it depends on the Bread
Whole wheat toast is healthy. I don't know what Gold Light is.
Any whole grain or whole wheat would be a healthy choice, although I love white toast and if you don't have any weight issues, 1 or 2 slices is not going to kill you.
Its healthier than most cereals...and good for your teeth (if its burned)lol..xx?
nah breads alright
some white bread contains nothing but sugar and sugar
but brown breads alright
also depends on what you put onthe bread
if you put full fat butter with chocolate spread, than no its not healthy
sorry, i like stating the obvious
hope i helped:-)
it depends, bread can make you fat but it's healthy for you, try just a little dot of butter
Toast is fine for you, especially if you use wholemeal/wholegrain or similar bread. It is what you put on it that makes it unhealthy, such as jam or butter. If that concerns you, then there are low-fat alternatives for both! Also, be wary of the extent to which you cook the bread. There is a theory that blackened/burned foods are carcinogens, but I would have the thought the risk was not particularly substantial.
As long as its Brown bread with as little butter as possible then Yeah it should be.
toast is okay, just depends how many slices you eat,
