I was overweight when I had my son. I lost 15lbs in 2-3 months (just recently) on the Cabbage Soup Diet.

I have back problems too (Scoliosis, Fibro Myalgia) and knee problems and asthma. so this info i think would really help you out. If it worked for me, it will work for you!

Boil 4 cups of water. Add 2 cubes Vegetable Stock.
Cook:

1 head green cabbage : chop into bite size pieces
1 yellow onion: chop into bite size pieces
4 carrots chopped into bite size pieces
1-2 yellow sweet peppers
1/4 tsp or more of cayenne pepper
pepper and salt to taste
a few shakes of garlic powder

Eat 1 bowl of soup for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Then munch on fruits and vegetables through out the day. Chicken ot turkey 1-2 times a week.

Exercise:
I bought Dancing With The Stars: CARDIO DANCE
1 hour a day!.

I hope this info helped you out. Let me know how it goes :)

Try doing pilates or a different streching excercise (you build strength in your back so it doesnt hurt). You can buy the fitness dvd online. Its quick simple 20 min, plus 10 min sculpting. It's amazing, pair it with a healthy diet, you are set.

For another one walking is also good, if you have a young son that requires a stroller, take him on a walk, walking with a stroller will take some of the pressure off.

Hope I helped. Good Luck! =D
