YES, absolutely... Americans actually tend to put more sodium, sugars and fat in their food.
I think the government should do something about, put restriction on certain types of food.
Also I don't really understand why they do it in the States and not in Europe.
Europeans tend to make their meals form scratch though, and Americans like things to be ready-to-eat.
If Americans would just put more time into making their meals it would already make a huge difference...

it is amazing how the food that is bad for you tastes so darn good.

Big companies like that.

yes, same here in england

Yes, America is the worst when it comes to health and eating.

If sugar was the actual culprit, we'd be in much better shape with this (pun intended). The fact that American food is filled with the likes of artificial sweeteners and high fructose corn syrup is the reason we're in the state we're in. Our bodies would have an easier time breaking down real sugar than these made-up chemicals. (Did you know that Splenda is literally one chemical reaction away from being formaldehyde? FORMALDEHYDE! {used to embalm bodies} And when our bodies store that and try to break it down, the Splenda comes very close to being just that...scary stuff!)

Any-who. I won't belabor the semantics. I do agree that our food is becoming quite toxic. People need to start caring about what they're eating. Healthier options are out there - people just need to look for them and be willing to pay a little extra for them. I do and I feel good. :-)

absolutely. to both questions.
People need to learn that they don't have to sweeten everything. Just eat it the way you find it. (of course cook it if need be)

yes. it start from the chef. if he like the taste of his own food, he assume everybody will like it even though he does not realize it is bad for your health. next, all they care if profit. they don"t care about other people health problems

What I'd like to know is why are there soooo many people in America these days who constantly stick their noses into other people's business?! It's nobody's business what other people eat or smoke or drink or anything! Funny how I hear all these people say "people's personal lives are their own private business," AND YET when it comes to what they eat, they're all up in your face about it!! GET OFF YOUR PIOUS HIGH HORSE AND STOP CONCERNING YOURSELF WITH OTHER PEOPLE'S BUSINESS!! And no, it's NOT the evil big businesses "making" people eat this stuff and get diseases; surprise, surprise -- it's a CHOICE!

Yes, sugar does contribute to poor health but there has been no evidence that proves that salt is unhealthy.
