-The first step is nutrition. You would have to run marathons every week to loose weight without checking your diet first.
-The next step is exercise: if your work schedule is 11 to 9 then you might want to exercise before work. It might be hard to wake up earlier but you need to compromise and go to bed earlier as well.
-It is OK to drink but moderation is the key just like anything else in life. Have fun but don't let the fun times make you miserable in the long run.
-A combination of cardiovascular and strength training is the right balance for a sound exercise program. You might want to begin slow with a 3 sessions a week but soon you will need to progress to 5 or 6 hours of moderate to intense exercise.
-Since you are standing on your feet all day I recommend cardio exercises such as cycling, rowing, elliptical machine, swimming. Of course running is simple and will burn the most calories just be careful not to overdo it.

All these might sound like a big change but trust me is worth it. I help people loose weight for a living and I have never yet encounter someone who after putting the effort and accomplishing his/her goal did not think it was worth it.
I have a few dietary guidelines and a bunch of helpeful links on my personal site. Please feel free to use those resources. Take the challenge and have fun with it. It will take time but you are in your mid 20's so all odds are in your favor as long as you are willing to walk the rocky road.
