Did I eat too much today?!

Question: I'm not a diet but i want to keep my calories in check.

I had a cup of ramen, a slice of pizza, and two cookies and milk. I know I need to eat more veggies and fruits, and I'll do that tommorow. ;) But was this too much? Or is it a normal amount?

How about this...

Eat whatever you want, and if you feel you ate a lot , EXERCISE a lot to burn it off. In the meantime, throw in an apple or maybe some grapes in the mix of your meals.

Just read your additional details. Since we're all different, there are cases while some might eat well while in another person's case it's over-eating. To be honest, what you ate doesn't really sound like a lot so I dont think you need to worry about it. Just exercise and try to eat healthy, theres nothing wrong with indulging in dessert or pizza every now and then. Just try to balance it. Also, dont let the stick figure women get you down when they say "Yeah you ate a lot".

It was no huge amount of calories...but if you want to keep your calories in check...make some different choices. The items you chose aren't on the low cal list, ya know?

not too much just the wrong food

so you want to keep calories in check but you dont care about fat, saturated fat, msg, sodium, and all that stuff? You are obviously misinformed.

not a lot, no.
actually you should eat more,
just healthier and in smaller proportions.
Try to eat 5 small HEALTHY meals a day
and drink a lot of water.

I don't know what "ramen" is...is it like noodles?
A slice of pizza has a lot of calories but does not satisfy you in a long run so you should have some mushrooms or any other veggies with it (one slice of pizza, anyway, is much better than two slices of pizza!).
Milk? one cup...two cups? (each cup is about 100 calories, more if it's not low fat).
Cookies? are those small 70 calories cookies or big 250 calories ones? cookies are like pizza...won't fill you much but pack a lot of calories.

I don't think you ate too much. I even think you did not eat enough if you had only ramen, pizza, cookies and milk for the whole day. You ate too many calories but not enough satisfying food so you must feel hungry sometimes and control it...until you cannot and then you will really eat too much.

What about those "five servings of fruits/vegetables"? It's not something you should eat sometimes but everyday.

There are ways to eat a lot, feeling full the whole day, never hungry, and eat very little calories. But to do that, you usually have to avoid any processed food...start cooking and make your favorite salads. Breakfast could be a half grapefruit and a cup of milk...nothing complicated but nothing processed.
