Do you think putting pictures of large people instead of skinny people...?!

Question: on your wall would be better motivation to lose weight and stick to a healthy diet and exercise schedule?
Not trying to be an *sshole, but would it be more effective?
It's kind of like putting up pictures of skinny models to remind you what you want to be... but on the other hand I have a feeling pictures of larger people would be a great reminder of what you DON'T want to be.
What do you think?

Yes I do agree!! As a former fat chick (326 pound down to 152) I found it more motivating to be reminded of what I did NOT want to be, rather than torture myself with an airbrushed, photo re-touched, half silicone false ideal that I could never realistically achieve. To this day, I occasionally get out my old "fat pants" and remind myself that I DO NOT want to go back there.

Ya know you might just be right. AND I AM NOT TRYING TO BE MEAN EITHER....just true.

I'd rather put an inflated picture of myself to nag me always and to remind what damage can be done That'd be a much better option than to put up a picture of a rather skinny model or a fat guy. Looking at a skinny model can make people drool and looking at a fat person makes people thank God that they are not that fat

I'd put them next to eachother on the wall, so when friends come over they say "what the hell is that shyt?" lol. Both is probably best. And putting naked people reminds you what you want....

If you want to be large then put those if you want to become skinny then skinny people.

Absolutely, I think we should have close ups of extremely fatty areas like the stomach and hips or thighs.
Before and after shots are good for a person to keep the weight off.
I truly hope that people with severe weight issues can get help because it is not about the looks anymore, it is a serious health risk.

I agree with Miss Delanne. Although an image of what you aspire to be can be motivating, it can also be disheartening. As a chubby disproportionate person myself, I can look at a glossy magazine model and think "Yeah I'm gonna try for that" and then remind myself that "No, I'm short/fat/greedy/lazy/whatever your flaw is" and I'm never going to achieve that. It can be quite detrimental to your progress if you're a sensitive/easily demotivated person.

I would suggest posting a picture of a model or actress with the kind of figure you aspire to have on one side and an image of everything you don't want to be on the other side, then take pictures of yourself as you slowly lose weight and pin them inbetween. You can actually see, picture by picture, your transition from overweight to thin and beautiful :)

PS: Gratz on losing all that weight, Miss, and good luck to everyone else.

How about simple psychology. Put a picture of a fit healthy person next to a picture of a beautiful dress next to a picture of money exercising And good food and put that all in one secteion (with a bunch of other great pictures of wonderful things...)
and in a nasty corner put a picture of a fatty with fast food and cola and hateful pictures. that way you'll associate.
