Is it safe to workout while fasting?!

Question: But what if you are on a juice fast and still receiving vitamin E C and like alot of calories through drinking? Is it the same as having those same # of cals come from a meal?

Sorry, but this doesnt sound like a good idea. You wont have any energy TO workout.

NO, its not the same and it could be dangerous if you have to work out do it at a very low intensity.

Lol, its not safe to fast

It is OK if you feel OK. Same difference. See site below to learn more about juice fasting with quotes from 19 MDs.

Absolutely not, contray to what other will tell you. Your body requires calories to metabolize and keep running. Ask yourself this, would you try to drive your car with absolutely no gas in it? Seriously, unless you are fasting for religious reason you are doing nothing but causing havoc to your metabolizm. Yes, alot of middle eastern people fast, but they have grown up established to this life style and there bodies know how to deal with this, not to mention the majority of them eat vegan life-styles and don't eat for pleasure. They eat to survive unlike us fat americans. If you are looking to loose weight and keep in shape, indeed eat atleast 1800 calories a day and 30 minutes of cardio. If you dont' believe what is told to you talk to your doctor.

Muscle requires some kind of protein, whether it's from animal sources or plant sources. Exercising without eating any protein will cause muscle wasting. You will simply lose muscle and strength. If you are considering fasting for only a few days, don't worry about working out, but wait until you're back on solid foods.

No, you need at least 400 carbs for energy. There is no substitute for solid foods. If you want to fast reserve your energy; working out without sufficient nutrients could be risky for you.
