you should go get your blood checked, but the thyroid is what controls your metabolism. really really skinny or hyper people (sometimes have bulgy eyes) may have hyperthyroidism. people that gain weight for no reason, have trouble loosing weight and are heavy may have ... i forget the name but check with your doc

if you eat alot and not gain weight, this indicates that you have a fast metabolism. another indication of this is if you eat less and loose weight. many consider this as a blessing!!

if you eat alot or are "greedy" and gain weight you may have an eating disorder.
