Anorexia Problem?!

Question: I don't want you to think I'm a crazy person who thinks she's fat. I just need to lose a little bit of weight in two weeks. If you were to stop eating, how would you resist temptation to eat? P.S. I'm 13, female. I need to lose weight because I am over weight and in two weeks I'm going to the docyor for a check up. Oh, and if anyone knows what they do when you go to a check up, let me know.

You really should not stop eating prior to your physical. If you want to get healthy, your physical is the perfect time to bring this up with your doctor, who will be able to suggest healthy methods for doing so. I can tell you, however, that he/she will likely recommend that you eat a healthy diet and keep an eye on the nutrients and calories you are taking in (your doctor can help you determine what your optimal intake should be) and also that you get out and do some exercise. You shouldn't be embarrassed by your weight when you go into the doctor, they are there to help you, a good doctor would never treat you badly because of a few extra pounds.

Well, I would strongly advise you to eat. Your blood test will show up with low sugar, and a million other things if you don't . Just eat on moderation, don't cut yourself off completely.

im not recommending this

first of all, anorexia is not simply the practice of eating nothing. That is fasting, anorexia involves a whole range of psychological and emotional problems too. However, fasting can lead to anorexia especially when the individual reaches their initial goal but begins to feel they just need to lose a little more and a little more and becomes increasingly fearful of gaining the weight back.
The best way to lose weight is to eat healthily and cut down on junk food. eat 5 fruit and veg a day, an assortment of carbohydrates, proteins and fats and eat 3 meals a dy and 3 small snacks.
Just remember, though, at 13 you're body is still changing majorly, any weight gain is probably temporary and can change. But if you begin damaging your body by starving it now, the effects are lifelong.
