Is taking Caffenie (stay awake) pills before working out bad?!

Question: I started taking about 2 pills(400mg) before lifting weights about a month ago, and have had great workouts with lots of energy. The other day I did not take any, and I was dragging my feet around, barely had any energy to do anything. Are taking these pills bad for me? I only lift 3 days a week.

To tell the truth yes. They give a boost, but your body should learn to produce a natural flow of excess energy. Now its okay to take those pills because some days are off days in the gym, but you gotta remember that if your body makes a natural force so to speak, to supply your needs if you don't mess with it's natural balance to much.

I will admit I drink a cup of coffee every once n a while a few hours before a lift, doesn't really help me, because ironically Caffeeninieeieieie is a subcounsious thing after you hit a certain age. It causes a addiction although most deny it because they don't or have an addiction bad, its a bad thing to use.

I say just ween your self off of them. They aren't bad but in the long run you'll only be good with them, and it will take more of them to feed the need.

Unless you have a serious heart condition or blood pressure difficulties, there's nothing inherently wrong with that.

Just take it easy, and be sure to get plenty of water.

I dont image there healthy, but its not like your doing meth either...

you can naturally help wake yourself up... by using anything with peppermint in the morning, like a facial wash or body scrub. just smelling peppermint helps to wake you up.

Caffiene does help with athletic performance...but over time you can become dependant, and the increased heart rate can be bad for your heart/circulatory system, brain, and liver. i would recommend only low amounts of caffiene, and only every once in a while. Get a good balanced diet and your body will have plenty of energy and fuel to do the workout without the healthy concerns.

Yes, 100 mg of caffeine is equal to one cup of coffee. So essentially it's like you're downing 8 cups of coffee before working out. Your heart is racing like crazy from the caffeine and also from the workout which is NOT HEALTHY. You were dragging *** the day you didn't take any because you crashed and burned from the day before. My suggestion is to get a natural high from the workout!

Hello,
Many people take drugs for all sorts of things, just remember some drugs are addictive.....caffeine is such a drug, proven fact.

Research on the subject varies - some researchers claim that taking coffeine prior to exercise is beneficial for strength development and power output during the workout. Others claim that while caffeine increase alertness/focus it actually decreases muscle strength/power as it restricts blood flow to the extremities (legs, arms)
2 pills is a bit excessive too, take 1 or a 1/2.
So, basically it is up to you...

Take this before your workout. This stuff is amazing I can't put into words what this does. Don't get any other brands they all have crashes.
