How do you like the NutriSystem Program?!

Question: What is the average weight loss (a week) for people on the NutriSystem Program? What are your favorite meals? Why? What are you dislikes? How long have you been on the program? How much weight have you loss? **So many questions because I want to purchase the program later on today. I have heard the food is really nasty. I would love to drop about 30 pounds.

The important thing for me with Nutrisystem has been the structure, guidance and online support from both Nutrisystem and peer dieters. I started 6 months ago with 70 pounds to lose and I just reached the 60 pounds lost mark this week. I lost 8 pounds the first week, 5 pounds the second, 18 total the first month. Since then it slowed down to about 2 pounds a week until the last couple of weeks which have been 1 pound each as I get close to my goal.

There are only a subset of the Nutrisystem meal choices I like, but I figured out which those were quickly and now those are all I order. Still leaves me with enough variety for my purposes. Different people I've talked to on their website like different things, but my favorites are:

Breakfast: Blueberry Flavored Pancake Mix, Blueberry Muffin, Cranberry Orange Pastry, NutriFlakes Cereal - 40% Bran Flakes, regular Pancake Mix, Scrambled Eggs with Veggie Sausage Crumble

Lunch: Cheesy HomeStyle Potatoes, Chocolate Raspberry Bar, Fudge Graham Bar

Dinner: Beef Pot Roast with Vegetables & Gravy, Cheese Ravioli with Basil Tomato Sauce, Chicken Breast Patty,
Chicken with Dumplings, Flame Broiled Beef Patty, Green Pepper Steak with Rice, Lasagna, Mashed Potatoes with Meatloaf and Tomato Sauce, Rotini with Meatballs and Tomato Sauce, Thin Crust Pizza with Cheese, Wedged Potatoes with Sliced Beef Steak

Snack/Desert: BBQ Soy Chips,Chocolate Caramel Dessert Bar, Chocolate Crunch Bar, Honey Mustard Pretzel Sticks, Nacho Crisps, Pretzels, Zesty Herb Snack Mix, Almond Biscotti, Blueberry Lemon Dessert Bar, Chocolate Macadamia Nut Biscotti, Double Chocolate Almond Cookie,
NutriChocolates, Strawberry Shortcake Bar, White Chocolate Chunk Cookie

They also tell you what items you should buy (in what portiaon sizes) locally and add in (daily, fruits, some protiens, and stuff like that)

If you do decide to give it a try, email me at ctz1057@yahoo.com before you do and I can have them send you a coupon to save $30 off your first order.

Good luck with your weight loss journey no matter how you decide to proceed.

I like weight watchers they teach you how to eat in the real world

works very well for me

My moms been on it for a bit over a month and has lost 15 lbs! And its tough for her to lose weight. I've tried some of the food...

Pros: convenient, some of the food tastes really good, you do lose weight as long as you stick with it. You can customize the meals too. You dont go hungry.

Cons: some of the food sucks, its trial anderror the first time but after the first month you kinda know what you do and dont like. You have to buy a lot of produce and extra stuff each day!

If you can afford it, go for it!!

my wife uses it. I have tried the food. I laugh at the commericial 'U can even have chocolate'. Omg yeh if you like chocolate that tastes like cardboard. Some of the meals are ok, but nothing special.
As for weight loss. you can do it without nutrisystem. Its just calorie control thats all it is. Watch your calories ,fat and carb intake and exercise regularly. Your better off spending money at a gym with a personal instructor. They will design a food plan for you . Thats what my wife did. Nutirsystem doesnt monitor your weight or do exercise programs like a trainer does.

I did it just for dinner though. I ate normal during the day and just counted my calories throughout the day and made sure I ate the amount of calories I needed to lose weight. I lost 15 pounds on it in a couple months. I thought most of the meals tasted fine, I am a picky eater and they worked for me. They seemed to be very small portions but I bought low cal snacks and I didn't starve. Just an FYI I bought mine through www.hsn.com and they were alot cheaper than going direct through nutri system. I used this site in conjunction.

Hope this helps.

My husband is on it and has already lost 10 lbs. and its not even been a month. Its all about portion control. We got it from QVC so they sent the favorite foods. But next month my husband wants to pick his foods. They're all these ads that you can get three weeks of food free if you get Nutrisystem for 3 months. Check their website. He loves the snacks and desserts and likes mostly everything. He's also been exercising on the elliptical 30 min. a day. Good luck!!
