Lifestyle change and exercise...how long do you think it will take?!

Question: I have been after my fiance to exercise with me and go on a diet. Not until he was diagnosed with Type II diabetis has he decided to change. I am thankful for this. We both went through the dietician class and have learned how to eat healthy portions in moderation (we both lost 15 pounds, the first 2 weeks) Now we are at a plateau but were going to buy a treadmill and the Total Gym 1100 this weekend. We have a schedule where we are going to walk on the treadmill for 30 mins. and use the total gym for 30 mins., were going to do this AT least 5 days a week. My question is how long do you think it will take to see results once we start the exercise program? I want to loose about 15 more pounds but more so I want to get into shape. I want my arms, stomach, legs and butt in shape. Anyone have an estimate from experience maybe on how long it took you to see results after beginning an excersise program? Thanks for everyone's opinions!!!

IF you've already lost 15, I'd say about 2 months for another 15. Change your earting habits and make sure you're eating 5-6 small meals a day and have one cheat meal a week. DO 3 days of cardio and 3 days of strength training with one day of rest. Alternate upper and lower body. You should strength train so your fat will turn into lean muscle. I lost 40 lbs changing my life like this in three months.

I'd say about a month.

about a month to 2 months if your really dedicated...try to switch up the workout or the intensity as you move along

hi well first of all fat will never turn to muscle fat is fat your body will use fat as a energy source as far as the dibe.s i really dont know 2 much about it just being honest its somthing like your body has built up a inslin restence so ur body is not as sencitive to glicogin i know u should stay away for sugars and sweets and and i think simple carbs like white bread ( dont quote me on that ) havent gotten to dibes yet in school

first are u ok to work out ie checked with your dr.
sorry to say most of the 15 lbs u first lost was water weight exercise is a scince most people dont understand its not just jumping on a treadmill and walking and magicly lose weight their obeas people who walk all day and never lose a lb it also has a great deal to do with diet also u need to work out at like i would say 70% of your max heart rate and if u do that the body starts to adapt in about 3 weeks arobic wise and to see results it all depends on your body but having not met u and yur husband just a good educated guess if u stick with it probly noticeable results in a month and alot more in usally 3 months privided your working out at 70% of yr mhr if u want i can figure it out for u email me musclesinazadam@yahoo.com ohhhh iam going 2 collage to be a personal trainer
