I'm living a healthy lifestyle with NO results!! WTF??!

Question: I'm a very healthy person. I eat fresh fruits and veggies every day in place of sweets/snacks. I eat whole grain brown rice, lean meats, I Substitute olive oil for anything that calls for butter. I live on an Army Base, and have no drivers liscence because I'm over seas and it's difficult, so I walk EVERYWHERE! so, I walk about 2 miles every other day pushing a baby stroller. That didn't seem to be giving me any results either. So, I started jogging about 2 weeks ago. I go every other day, and I started jogging 1 mile, then 1.5 miles, and last night I did 2 miles. My body doesn't look or Feel any different than it did 3 months ago! I weigh 120 lbs, and i'm 5'2. I just can't seem to get my body below 120. I know that 120 is within my BMI range,a nd that it's a health weight, but I felt my healthiest when I used to weigh 113 lbs Years ago. I want to be that again, that is when I had the most energy, and felt the best. Why cant I get any results??

Wow congratulations on your healthy life style!!!!

Did you measure yourself? Muscles weigh more than fat.
After a baby, maybe your hips became a little wider and your body shape might have changed.

I read a book about running, and at the end there was an example of a woman that weigh exactly the same after one year of running, then when she started, BUT she had came down 4 dress sizes !!!!

You know what? I know this isn't what you want to hear, but it's not all about weight. Trust me, your body IS reeping the rewards. You must be a very healthy girl! Congrats on your willpower, and don't get frustrated.. keep up like this and you'll outlive us all! Keep it up, it's GOOD for you.

It sounds like you're on the right track.

You could experiment more with food. Try having meals so that you're not eating heavy protein with carbs - no meat with rice.

Also, weight those portions of carbs, before cooking them. Your large portion is 60 grams of raw rice or pasta - this expands with cooking. If it doesn't look like a lot, fill up on veg.

And another thing you can try to speed up your metabolism - instead of eating 3 large meals a day, try 5 small ones.

Best of luck!

You may be eating healthy foods, but are you still eating in the "right portions" ?? Sometimes it's not really WHAT you eat but HOW MUCH you eat.
That's similar to my problem I've been exercising everyday except Sundays for 3 hours and it's been half a month. Problem is I always end up eating at night because I come home so late. When I get my inertia started I just keep on eating until I feel guilty. So.. yea, maybe make a food diary and measure up how much you eat.. OR if you've been overweight when you were younger or when you were pregnant or something like that and your fat cells grew it may be more difficult. Also your body type and your genetics have a effect too. You may have knew that stuff but just to remind you. :P

all I hear is control...why is it such a big deal? you are not over weight...whats next, u have split ends or does ur purse not match ur nails?? I mean get real?!

Well, a good weight is not all in the numbers. But you mention a lack of energy, so perhaps it has more to do with your metabolism. As we age, our metabolism may slow down, depending on how much and how rigourously we exercise and keep active.

Do you eat snacks often? what kind? Are your meals still heavy? Especially at night, heavy meals can put quite a damper on the way we feel the next day. The juices you mention could have plenty of natural sugars that you're not aware of. Try switching from cow milk to soy milk, that might make a difference too. cow milk and dairy products are know to cause bloating, among other things.

Try a full body cleansing. Look into something
called "isagenix" I hear it does wonders.

Ask your doctor what you might try. By all means get a full physical done, it can't hurt.

And stop looking at the scale...just as in age, numbers don't account for everything. Don't get discouraged, best of luck, keep up the good work!
