Will I see any results if I stop using so much salt?!

Question: I'm 20 years old and I'm 60lbs overweight. I joined weight watchers about a month ago and have since lost 5lbs (it was 7, but after getting sick with the flu and pneumonia I gained 2lbs back).
For the past 2 weeks I havnt lost any weight!
I went to the doctors yesterday (a new doctor) for a physical and she said that my legs are retaining some water (she knew by pushing on the skin and it stayed white for a moment)...
She said that shes not concerned and that as I lose more weight with weight watchers my legs will bounce back to normal.

I did a little bit of research on retaining water and it seems that salt plays a big part in retaining water. I use a LOT of salt, I always have (I also drink a LOT of water, I dont drink juice, soda, milk, coffee, tea...nothing - only water)...

If I cut out the extra salt for a while do you think it could help with my weight loss as well?

absolutely.
salt and retaining water are directly related. the more salt you consume the more water your body retain to dilute that salt. if you have no salt to dilute then your body will get rid of any water it doesn't immediately need.
lose the salt to lose the pounds!
