If ur on a diet of some sort, is putting dressing on a salad bad?!

Lettuce, tomatoes, carrots are good ingredients for a healthy low calorie salad. Cheese, black olives, and mushrooms, are healthy as well but have more calories. It's okay to use dressing, but use either low fat or fat free dressing. It is just as tasty as the regular dressing.

It depends what kind of dressing....if u put like ranch or something thats bad...but if you put like low fat ranch then thats better for ur diet or some kind of low fat dressing

A tip that I read and started using is to get one of those little salad dressing cups you get with a salad when you go out to eat, fill that with dressing, and when you're eating a salad dip your fork in that before you stab into the salad. The bottom of your fork will hit your taste buds the same as if your salad was covered with dressing, so you'll get the same taste benefits.

what kind of dressing?

No not as long as u put more than a teaspoon on and u use fat free or low fat dressing. Also to make a salad healthy add fruits and veggies. also skip fried meats or high fat meats like steak in salad. in stead opt for puttingin beans or grilled chicken in ur salad.

you can put anything... fresh and un-processed on your salad when you're dieting; period... if your dressing has a preservative don't use it, if it has sugar don't use it. and the same goes for your beverages.

you can put any fruit, veggie, and eggs, cheeses from your local whole foods market. there are many recipes online you can find to make salad dressing. And, once you're done w/ your diet you will be able to incorporate these healthy habits into your everyday life.
