When i was a model i had to lose half a stone in a week. I really wouldn't recommend losing weight that quickly! I managed it but its really unhealthy, because of this i eventually quit modelling - dance and modelling are very similar in that there is a lot of pressure to be skinny!

By your own admission you are not overweight; maybe you can just tone up as you said? Try doing some exercises that focus on your specific problem areas such as squats and crunches - just be disciplined to do it EVERY day.

Anyhow, you didn't ask to be preached at, you asked a question. The way i lost weight that quickly was through a strict diet of bran flakes with skimmed milk or water, lettuce, cucumber, water, tomatoes and a small amount of quorn once a day for protein.

HOWEVER this will not fulfill your nutritional needs! I recommend just eating healthily, replace chocolate with veg like carrot sticks or cucumber, maybe replace meat with quorn and reduce the size of your portions by a third.

Just please make sure you eat enough to give your body all the energy it needs, otherwise it won't be in a good condition to do your classes and competitions!

Best of luck with the competitions, you are obviously very dedicated as a dancer.

Cut out, Potatoes & bread, you'll loose more than a stone in that time!

god u worried about a stone??? jesus love! so wot if u got more curves than the other people are skinny, they may be envious of ur curves! dont worry bout ur weight sounds like ur fine to me! just concentrate on ur dancing cos if you fret bout ur weight then you wont get anywhere with the comps will you?

Try cutting out fatty foods. And constantly have snacks throughout the day, the snack should be carrot sticks. This helps you feel less hungry when it comes round to lunch and dinner time. Make sure you do eat breakfast. Try also joining the gym, you will shead pounds in no time, also, practice your dancing at home, it will make you better, and it is free to workout and loss weight.

well, i think a stone is about 14 lbs and that would be a lot for 2 weeks but a month is possible. You'd have to do a lot of cardio. I suggest running and/or swimming and some weight lifting to build some lean muscle, which also burns fat as energy. I hear 90% of weight lose is eating healthier. Getting in shape requires a change in lifestyle, there is no quick fix. my advice, get a workout log, find/choose a good work out plan online and a good, healthy diet that you can follow and stick to it. Work out about 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes and you'll start to see results as long as you're eating better. good luck! also, you should be more concerned with your body fat percentage rather than weight and don't go for that body mass index bullocks.

cut out bread and booze eat no carb in the evening

not sure that you're are over-weight, you know?
I think you may just be a little out of practice & feeling fat
but anyway to help
cut from your diet alcohol ( that's assuming you're old enough to drink, if you're not, discard this one )
No more white bread, biscuits, cake, chocolate, fizzy drinks & any junk food.
cut down on meat, eggs & full-fat cheese, but not milk
( switch to semi-skimmed ) as calcium is essential for girls/women to have strong bones & especially if you're going to be taking regular (impact ) exercise like dancing.

That's a bit impossible to lose that amount of weight in 2-4 weeks, Unless you did a crash diet, Which, I advise you NOT to do as you lose the weight alright but then when you go back to eating normal you pile it all back on!! No good, Why don't you just do plenty of exercise and eat sensible..it's that simple!! Guaranteed results then and you can count on the weight stopping off more longer too!

Short of cutting off a piece of your body and throwing it away, you are not going to lose a stone in that time. eat less and do additional exercise, it will also help you get fitter for your dancing.
