Dieting For Preteens?!


Question: I'm 5'5 and about 110 pounds. I basically have a flat stomach.

However, I always feel like I'm SOOO much fatter than other girls my age. I am, no doubt, the skinniest of all my friends, and they tell me that my weight is fine. I am absolutely not underweight.

I want to exercise, not only to make myself feel skinnier, but because it's important to exercise when you're still growing. However, I'm pretty lazy, and I can never find a good workout routine for myself.

I also don't eat very healthy. My usual meals in a day:

Breakfast: Fruit salad (bananas, watermelon, blueberries)

Lunch: Turkey breast, mustard, and lettuce wrap. For dessert I usually have an 100-calorie pack.

Afternoon snack: Usually an 100-calorie pack.

Dinner: Chicken, or salad. Almost all of the time its home-cooked.

I don't exercise too much during the day. Does anyone have any good dieting tips for me?

you dont need to diet, but i understand how you feel. im fatter than you, but im not huge but i wanna lose weight too. first off, what you are eating is just fine! if you think thats unhealthy, take a look at what some other people eat! its disgusting! anyways, here are a few things you can do. join your school's track, cross country, volleyball, soccer, basketball, etc. team. ask your friends to join you! its tons of fun, especially when your with your friends! i would especially recommend track. im doing my track team this year. sooo many kids do it. you dont have to be fast, becuz everyone goes at there own pace. its really hard the first week or two, but TRUST ME it gets wayy easier so dont give up! it gets you in amazingg shape though.
or if you dont want to do a sports team at your school or a local sports club, try doing something at home. if you have a tredmill or a bike at your house, you can listen to music or watch tv while you run or bike. if you feel like your lazy, challenge yourself. tell yourself you cant get on the computer or watch tv until you've done 25 situps and 10 pushups. things like this will keep you from sitting on your butt all day. if you miss a day of exercising or dont eat very healthy one day, DON'T SWEAT IT! tomorrow, you can do better! its not worth fretting over, becuz you cant relive the day and change it. also, dont ever think about going anorexic or bulemic. it will make you lose weight at first, but in the end once you start eating again or quit throwing up, you'll just gain it all back. and if you never stop, then its gonna kill you. if you have any more questions, email me at em_cheer318@yahoo.com

and well ...from the looks of your daily meals...you eat pretty healthy. im not sure what kind of excersing you do but if I were you, I wouldnt give up. If you work out for 21 days straight, it will become like a habit. Nothing hardcore, even going to the gym for half an hour a day. Doing some crunches. You may be lazy but if you want results for a more toned body, then you can put aside 1/2 to do so.
after I had my baby I was determined to get back to my normal weight (115)
I started working out 2 months ago and with the determination
ive lost over 45 lbs! I still have a little bit to go, but I am damn determined!!!
So keep at it.

you seem like you eat healthy to me, im 15, 5"4' and 130 pounds in the 10th grade i think im fat, but if you look ayt every one where i live they are much bigger then me too i kinda feel the say way but about every night i go bewteen 100-200 sit ups then i do squats, i do the normal stretches, and i do like a butt crunch thing, but thats all i do most of my weight it muscle tho not fat.
