I have been to the gym 4 days in a row this week is that good or too much?!

Question: i stayed for an hr and a half

Answers: i stayed for an hr and a half

As long as it's a routine that you can stick to and you're not pushing yourself too hard, then no it isn't.
Some people go 6 days a week others go 3 times a week. It's whatever suits you best.

Just make sure that you are going 4 times a week because you want to and because you enjoy it.
Because if going 4 times a week feels like a chore and you have to push yourself to go you could eventually get very despondent and de-motivated and eventually stop going altogether. This is the reason why I say that you should make sure that you feel that this is a routine you can keep up with long term.

Vary the exercises you do, the equipment you use or the classes you attend to keep it interesting and to motivate yourself.

Hope this helps

Aslong as ur not exhausted or pushing yourself too much, and your getting plenty of rest & food & liquids it should be fine.

it is depends on ur body n only u can feel it

too much for weights

great for aerobics!

You need time for you body to rebuild your muscles and you should give a one day break between vigorous exercise. Also, sometimes when too much exercise is done, it can result in a buildup of latic acid, and this can damage your muscles. Next, if there is no break, then the muscles will not be restored as it is supposed to and this might results in a muscle pull. Finally, your diet. If your are not getting the proper diet (protein in every meal), your body will start using your muscles and sometimes fat to get the necessary calories (more are needed with exercise)

every other day is good.

Have a break between work out, especially if you trying to tone your muscle.

no thats cool go more if u like

Depends on how old you are if you are in your 20's you should leave 24hrs between training as you get older this increases, your body needs time to rest and rebuild, constant exercise will leave you exhausted as your body hits a point where is cannot cope anymore

It depends on what you do there. If you're doing weight training all 4 days, then it's probably a little much. If you're combining weight/resistance training with cardio, then there's nothing wrong with going that frequently for that amount of time. It is important to alternate what you do at the gym. Weight and resistance training is as important to losing weight and getting in shape as cardio is.

It's also important to make sure you replenish your body before, during, and after a workout. Afterwards, make sure you eat something within thirty minutes, preferably with protein in it (tuna is a good, quick snack). Your body is tired and if there's nothing to fuel it, it will begin feeding on muscle tissue which is the opposite of what a workout is for.

That would depend on what you did while you were there, and what you were trying to accomplish.

If it was all weight training on the same muscle groups, it might be counterproductive, but a mix of lifting and aerobic wouldn't be a problem.

If you put all your time into treadmill, elliptical, etc, I would say you have 3 days to go to make your week.

It's too long for the first time. You have to build up to that long. You will just get sore and will not want to go back. Just increase alittle each day.

you can be there as long as you want but if you are not doing anything or exercising then it all for naught but if you are doing the correct exercises and you have someone monitoring whatever it is you are doing then it is good. hope you get what you want to achieved....and enjoy!!!

Going to the gym each day will not cause you any harm so long as you have a designed program. I used to go to the gym everyday for 2 hours and here is how I used to program my time.

Each day, I would do an aerobic workout for about 40-45 minutes. Be it walking on a treadmill, using a stationary bike, the elliptical pedals, or working on the steps.

I would then work on the muscle building and toning. For 40 minutes or so, I would one day work on my upper body: arms, shoulders, neck, back. The next day I would work on my lower body: calves, thighs, and buttocks.

The remainder of the time... 10-15 minutes I would work on my abdominal muscles, crunches, sit ups or any other exercises that would be helpful for this area.

For another 10 minutes I would stretch and cool down.

Gosh I miss working out!

I never got tired. However I only did this during the week and not on weekends.

Hope this helps. This was a personal program I did for myself, mainly for muscle tone and conditioning. If your goal is something else then it's best to talk to a trainer and have him/her design a program that best suits you.

That is good! I am in gymnastics and i go for about 3 hours 4-5 days a week and i am pretty active! You are doing the right thing by asking this question because i am glad to answer by saying that is the right amount of exercise you need! I go at least 6 days every week and I am seeing good results.
