Does power walking lead to weight loss?!

Question: I already do 45 minutes of cardio each day, along with a 20 minute ab workout. If I were to switch up my routine; power walk one day, cardio video next day, power walk, video, etc.. will I start to see more results? I've kinda hit a plateau and it doesn't seem like any more weight is coming off. I'm 5''5, 133 lbs. Does power walking (1 hour) lead to weight loss?

Any exercise is going to lead to weight loss when paired with a healthy diet.

Your body gets "used" to certain exercises and they are no longer effective if you do the same thing every day. Power walking is a good switch up from other exercises.

If you chose power walking as your exercise, make sure you work up a good sweat. That will help burn the pounds. If you see that you hit an additional plateau in your weight loss, try adding light hand weights or ankle weights.

Good luck!

yes it will.

u burn cals with power walking so ya it can lead to weight loss. switching up your routine is always good id recommend it.. also you should consider sprints there great :)

It will definately trim and tone your thighs and butt. You will only lose weight if your heart rate is up high enough. Don't know the rate for you, sorry.

it is always good to switch up your routine if you hit a plateau. you might even consider taking a week off.

power walking is great exercises and would be a great option to try.

YES ABSOLUTLEY

Power Walking? You are still walking no matter what you call it. You are not burning enough calories to lose weight. You have to pump up your workout and increase the intensity. The more difficult it is the more effective. Try running, cycling (spinning classes), anything that involves fast pace movements.
