If you are only eating 1000 calories a day you will lose weight. The weight you will lose will be fat that your body has stored. After the stored fat is used up you will still lose weight, but the energy will come from your own muscle tissues.

Huh?
You'd have to cut the fat, too. And BTW, that's an unreasonable and unhealthy calorie intake there.

Body needs calories if you don't give ,it will take from your fats.If this continue for a while your body becomes thin.?f it takes too long your body began hunger like some very poor country fellows.

1. 1000 calories are not enough, especially if you are exercising.

2. Where the fat is lost from depends almost entirely on a person's genetics. Like, I lose stomach/back/arms/face first, my sister-in-law loses from her legs/thighs/bum.

Our bodies are designed to store fat from our caveman ancestor days. Our ancestors never had enough food to eat, so our bodies adapted and stored fat as a secondary source of fuel.

Our primary source of fuel is glycogen which is basically carbohydrates. Whenever we work out or do some kind of physical activity, our body uses this glycogen to fuel the workout. Once glycogen supplies are exhausted, our body switches to its secondary source of fuel which is fat. This is obviously a very basic explanation. Theres much more that goes on behind the scenes. For instance, when theres no more glycogen, the body enters a ketonic state and starts burning fat but it also uses protein at the same time. This is why body builders consume so much protein - so that the protein they lose when they do cardio is refueled by the supplements.

Therefore, the best time to do cardio is in the morning after you wake up because after a full nights sleep, your glycogen levels are low. Another good time to do cardio is right after strength training, which also exhausts glycogen.

Cutting down calories from your food does no good to your body. Fat is stored in the body only for emergencies. If your body does not get enough calories, it initially uses up most of the water from your muscles and then adapts to the lower calorie intake by simply reorganizing its wiring and slowing down your metabolism. What does that mean? You will have lower energy throughout the day. Eventually, if you continue doing this, your body will burn fat but will also burn most of your muscle tissue.

The best way to lose fat is to actually eat a healthy diet with meals scattered throughout the day so that your metabolism furnace is constantly stoked. Couple that with a little exercise and you will see amazing changes.
