What is the most important thing to do right after working out for muscle gain?!

Question: What should I eat? What should I drink? Should I stretch, rest? What?

How long should I wait for the next workout, 48 hours, 24?

Can I go running one day for an hour and then work out the day that follows and alternate like that?

Are eggs enough to gain muscle mass? Eggs and oatmeal?

What's an easy snack for muscle growth? I hate cooking but I have a blender.

How often should I eat?

That's a lot of questions. BA to whoever can answer most of them.

You should eat High Protein foods and good carbs if your serious about bulking. Protein are the building blocks for muscles. Carbs are your energy. You'll get fat while bulking. But what most weightlifters do for biggest muscle gain is bulk up, then they cut (or slim down). I usually have a whey protein shake right after workout. From what I hear you have a hour window right after workout to get the most from your protein.

It good to stretch before and after a workout to avoid injury.

I usually do one day upper body, one day lower body then one day off. Doing cardio each of the workout days.

I eat oatmeal or a high protein high fiber cereal everyday. A multi vitamin is good also.

Almonds and other nuts are a good between meal snack.

Its good to eat small 6 meals a day. When you only eat 3 your body thinks is starving and starts to store fat. I personally don't have time to eat 6, but I try and do my best. I usually do 4 while snaking on healthy food through out the day, like veggies and nuts.

The forums on www.bodybuilding.com is a good place to do research.

Whey protein in water for fast absorption.
