Whats the best thing to eat before jogging?!


Question: I'm a fan of having some dry Cheerios about an hour beforehand. Within an hour, just Gatorade.

At 2-4 hours beforehand, I'd have some oatmeal, some whole wheat bread with peanut butter... something that's mostly carbs and some protein, but fairly low in fat (which is a little harder to digest.)

dont eat before jogging.

Something small but with good protein and carbs. Maybe a piece of fruit and some nuts, or a beef jerky. You don't want anything too heavy or you may end up losing it along the trail.

It should be something that is light, so that you don't get cramps while running. Probably something like a couple pieces of fruits.

I don't eat before I go but I have light high protein snack after (tofu strips or a tofu shake)
