Why are muscles sore or hurt the next day after working out?!

Question: Muscles become sore after training because the microscopic tears you do to the muscle. This kind of soreness is ok and will go after a couple days. However if you are in pain after a week go and get checked out by a doctor to make sure you've not damaged yourself.

Regarding training: Try and change the way you exercise a muscle group every 4-6 weeks as this will shock the muscle into developing after it has got used to what you've previously been doing.

Remeber to cool down and stretch after training this will help reduce the amount of soreness plus encourge long muscles which is what you want.

Hope this helps.

muscles are sore after a work out
because your muscles tear
as they heal they get bigger and stronger

Dont worry, muscles hurt after working out because they are used not to work out so new things should cause soreness until used to the new situation (which is working out).
