Well if the 1200 calories you're burning is strictly from your workout routine, then you would also need to factor in your base metabolic rate (i.e. how many calories per/day you burn when you're not being active).

Let's say for argument's sake that your BMR is 1000 calories/day. This means without factoring in your workout, you are in a calorie defecit of 300 since you eat 700 and burn 1000 naturally. If you add the 1200 calories from your workout, then this makes the deficit 1500.

3500 calories = 1lb.

1500 calorie deficit X 16 days = 24,000 total calorie deficit over 16 days.

24,000/3500 = 6.86lbs lost.

You could lose more though if you eat properly because eating the right foods every 3-4 hours can really boost your metabolism which raises your BMR.

I'm a 6ft tall male and I maintained a calorie deficit of 2100 per/day. With the same calculation as above it would come to about 4lbs per/week lost but I would lose 7-8lbs per/week sometimes.

well I would talk to a dietician because for someone your size which is about my size just skinnier you probably actually need to be eating more healthy calories in order to loose weight because if you don't eat enough usually for someone about your size its about 1600-2000 calories a day which remember your body is constantly burning calories just breathing so a lot of that is being eaten up just doing nothing as it is. not to mention at 124 pounds if your lifting weights you might actually be putting on pounds because your gaining muscle and that weighs more than fat.

mostly talkign to a registered dietician can help a lot because they can tell you if your missing any essential nutrients that you need or better ways to exercise more effectively but good luck! I hope you reach your goals just don't over do it, its good to be skinny just not took skinny!

lol ... well i tried dat before

The reason you cannot lose weight by starving yourself (using a low calorie diet) is because your metabolism will detect any major drop in calories and it will then ADJUST ITSELF by burning fewer calories each day.

For example:
If you begin eating 2,500 calories per day then your metabolism will adjust itself so that your body begins burning 2,500 calories per day.

If you try to starve yourself by suddenly eating 1,000 calories per day then your metabolism will again ADJUST ITSELF so that your body begins to burn only 1,000 calories per day. That's why you have failed in your past dieting attempts, that's why you always seem to fail when you try and starve yourself.

Now you know the reason why you can eat 1,000 calories per day and not lose any weight while your friends can eat 2,500 calories per day and not gain any weight.

3000 calories= 1 pound

Cutting back on that many calories isnt healthy and will backfire. You will lose weight yes, lean muscle, not fat. But, when you start eating more again you will gain it back as fat because limiting your calories makes your body go into "starvation mode"..it thinks its starving, so when it gets calories its going to start storing them as fat...to save up in case it starves again.
Your best bet is to eat a healthy amount of healthy foods and exercise, make sure to use weights and build muscle...muscles burns fat 24/7. Then if you slip and have an off day (like during pms) you wont have to worry about gaining weight.
You may soon start feeling weak and have other bad side effects, and probably end up binging, which is only normal. Our bodies need a certain amount of calories just to function normally.
So, be careful...a lifetime commitment to healthy eating and exercise is the one way to lose weight and keep it off. Take care of yourself!
