Using Medifast?!


Question: I am really considering going on the Medifast diet because I have gained some weight in college that I am now trying to take off, and I live alone, so it would be great to not have to cook. But I am just wondering if all the promises of "rapid" weight loss on their site are true? It says you could lose 20lbs in 30 days, so I am just trying to figure out how long I would really need to be on this program just to lose the 20-30lbs I want to lose and then I could go off the program to maintain. I'd love to hear about any experiences with Medifast that you've had. Thanks.

The first time that I truly committed to the Medifast plan and followed the plan perfectly, I lost 17 pounds in a week.

I am a big guy, and usually bigger people lose weight faster than smaller people. So not everyone would have the same results as me.

I think Medifast can be great for people who are sick of thinking about food, portion sizes, and everything else. You basically just follow the guidelines of the plan. It's like most diets in the sense that if you stick to it you should be successful. The difference is I am less hungry on the Medifast plan than I have been on other diets.
