Can you get smaller if you dont stretch correctly?!

Question: I go to the gym Monday through Friday, and i have this paper where it tells me the exercises to do, and there are trainers there, to help you with an excercise or to tell you which exercise is which, but Im afraid that if i dont stretch enough, i will not grow.
So when should i stretch? before and after?

You can choose to:

1. Stretch before you exercise. The stretching here would serve as a warm-up exercise for you

2. Stretch after exercise. This loosens up your muscles, takes away any tightness in the muscles and enhances your muscle's and tendon's movement, to increase your joint's flexibility and mobility.

It can serve as a cool-down exercise for you too.

3. Stretch before and after the exercise.

However, in my opinion, the best time to stretch is after the exercise, when your body's still warmed from the effects of exercise. It's the time when you're least likely to injure yourself and most likely to make the greatest difference.

Here's a full explanation on stretching, which might help to clear your doubt: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/impor...

BTW, your growth depends on many factors such as genetics, food (nutrient) you eat, your hormones and etc.... Exercise or stretching don't play a part in your growth.

That's misconception. Stretching is good for you. Do it prior and after.

stretching doesn't help you grow. It's a warm-up.It makes your muscles ready for a tredmill, jumping jacks ETC.You should do stetches before cause if you don't then it's a higher risk of pulling a muscle or ripping tissue

You should stretch before and after exercise. When you stretch you are making your muscles looser and longer, so they will not tighten. You are less likely to pull a muscle this way. It won't actually make you "smaller" however.
