Organic Food ?Vs. Commercial Food, Which is better?!

Question: Does anyone know the difference? I am a 21 year old male, I weigh 244lbs. And I went shopping @ a health food store today. I bought mostly organic food, IT cost more. So I want to know If its really worth it? I don't make too much money, so I need to know Its worth it before I switch over. What made me walk in there, I read this in a book: "Everyone says salmon is good for you, It has protein & Omega 3. That isn't true for Commercial Grocery store salmon. The only Salmon that is good for you like that, Is Wild Salmon etc.." So Anywho, Is it worth it?

Yes, organic food is healthier due to its lack of synthetic pesticides. However...it does tend to be pricier. So, here is my thinking (and that of my university nutrition professor): if you are going to eat less fruits and veggies because you can't afford to buy as many if you are buying organic, then stick with conventional and eat more. But, on that note, when shopping at the "regular" grocery, DO NOT buy processed foods - only buy whole foods (free of chemical additives).

**Sorry I can't help with the meat part of the organic debate, I'm a vegetarian.
